Caliber down the shoot
Personaly I love the Calliber, 10X better than the neon imo, the only neon that even looks good was the SRT-4, and the neon name was never reconized as a good name, mostly it was reconized as a cheap little econo-box, my first new car was a 98 neon, I wouldn't buy another after owning that car, at about 37,000 the thing started leaking 2 quarts of oil a week, the sunroof stopped working twice, it leaked water, fortunatly a tow truck hit it and it was totaled so I could get something else.
I agree with everything you said, it's all true... except I think the 03-05 Neons along with the SRT-4 were the only ones that looked good. That's why i bought one...

My thoughts exactly, but you said it better!!!!

I'd more say it's honey I shrunk the Magnum since it has similar styling and lines to the magnum, right down to the slightly raked roof in the back, that's what I like about it since I love how the Magnum looks, hence why I bought it, but if I couldn't afford the Magnum I would very likely get the Caliber, the Neon wouldn't have even been a consideration though.
I liked the neon but i would'nt buy one however the Caliber i would think about buying for my wife. The neons came to Australia and they did not sell The Caliber is coming here this year when dodge comes to Australia ( i can't wait) i think they will sell well which was the purpose of building a world car.
The Neon was getting old and tired. It's a basic compact car styling that looks just like all the other boring basic compact cars out there. Sorry but the Neon, Sentra, Corolla and so many of the other box on wheels compacts are boring and don't stand out enough with their own style. Like it or not the Caliber is different than the others in its class.
Now if you still want the Neons platform but a different body then get a PT Cruiser.

Here's an old post begun in 2005. Now that the Caliber has sold 100,000 units in 2007 & what....maybe 200,000+ worldwide(lots of sales on other continents), itsneat to see how much controversy the Caliberdid bring to the auto world.Owners have stood by the Caliber & Caliber has rewarded owners by being a fine dependable car with a continueing different look thatdid not getboring.
Yeah, and I haven't really heard any complaints; except for those box car Neon fans who dont like change. The Neon had been around for 10-11 years, and most of those years had more problems then none.
