actually my friend just bought this model coincidently from a future shop. i was checking it out one night after work it's pretty sweet. it'll give you detours and whatnot on the go. it has local listings of all sorts of shops and restaurants so you can just pick it from the touch screen and presto you have a fly through for the best route.

it actually has a suction cup that attaches to the windshield. to change course whilst driving you just have to touch the "detour" button on the touch screen and after a second it'll put one up for ya. oh... but after more carefully reading your post, to change destination i would assume you'd have to stop and then punch in where you're going and then it'll fid it for ya. i don't suggest working this bad boy whilst driving. unless its like one or two buttons. it's like a cell phone you know? one or two buttons is fine but if you're going to text msg then you're asking for trouble.

ok so i asked him today and yes there is a keyboard that pops up on screen. and yes, her fricken loves that thing. he also says if you spend another two to three hundred, you can get the one that uses voice recognition so you have no need for the keyboard. i'm thinking i might start saving up for the one that i just have to speak to...

Have you checked out www.mopar.com? They offer GPS Navigation Systems for the Dodge Caliber. Under Dodge Accessories, look up 2007 Dodge Caliber. It's under Audio/Video Electronics.
Just a thought, may be an interest to you ...
