Default Black Caliber- Texas Style!

I recieved my black Caliber at the end of April. About a month before, I began to look for something to replace my '99 Chevy Blazer. It was a great car, but had high mileage and poor mpg. At first I was looking at the Vibe, Matrix, etc. Then I saw the moondog commercial! SOLD![almost] Now I had to find the one I liked. No easy task. All I could find were the SE models. I wanted a loaded red or black SXT. Then my Irish luck kicked in- I got the call that a black SXT was coming in and I had first dibs. I snatched that baby up! 2.0 w/CVT- speed control- fog lights- sunroof- driver conv.group[love this]- 6disc w/Sirius[this too]- and the MusicGate Power Sound System[really love this!]. I then had the windows tinted with the back tinted black- a must have on a Caliber! For me, this is a work vehicle, and I can easily haul all of my equipment, paints, and compressor in the back. I'm an airbrush artist and I travel a lot. Mostly large murals in restaurants, resort hotels, high school gyms, etc. From the late '70's to the early '90's, I painted murals on tour busses for ZZ, Ozzie, SRV, etc. [not that it's relevant, just wanted to throw it in]. The thing is, this Caliber drives better than any work vehicle I've ever owned. I now look forward to traveling. If you read all the crap that the auto magazines wrote, you'd think that this was the slowest worst performing vehicle around. I don't know what they were driving, but it wasn't MY Caliber! This thing moves great off the line and handles better than I would have believed. Other than the Caliber Click, which I wrote about before, I have NO complaints at all- I fixed my slide onthe cooler, and put some padding on the door. Dodge Caliber- Highly Recommended by Fitz, down in Texas!!! Photos to come.

My other car is a '58 Buick Special-364cid, and my wife has an '03 Toyota Solara-good car. Thanks!

Is this a Caliber SXT Sport? You can tell easily if it has colored inserts. Congrats on the car and I'm glad you like it! Can't wait to get mine!

Not the SXT Sport- just the 3-tone pastel slate gray w/cloth seats. Although I think that's the only difference in the sport package.

You also get a painted center dash bezel, 17" aluminum rims, and fog lamps with the package 24E (aka Sport Appearance Package).

I personally think it should also come with painted door handles like the R/T, but thats just me I guess.
