more funny noises...
hi crue! i've had my caliber sxt (2.0 liter) for about 2 months now and have reached the 6000 mile mark. from the first mile, there's been 2 annoying noises. annoying because they haven't impacted the engine performance (and loud music drowns them out). #1 is a rattling noise on the passenger side. i haven't pinned it down but it sounds like it's in the front passenger door and is just a loose fastener. #2 is a very slight knocking noise coming from the engine during acceleration. the dealer doesn't have a clue. any ideas?
I'm not sure about your door noise ,but in another forum there are people with engine knock that appeared tobe caused by low octane gas. When they went to a little higher octane the knock went away. Ask your dealer to check for a flash update there is one out for the first Calibers built.
If I drive over 65 it starts to rattle from the passenger side, After I drive for a while the car starts to make this sneezing noise from the bottom and it continues after the car is turned off. I took it to the dealership to check it out, they claim it needs a new Exhaust Resonator, I hope their right because I know nothing about an exhaust resonator. They never even road with me to confirm what I was hearing. I would hate to have to keep going up there, because they want to get me in and out. Can anyone confirm what a Exhaust Resonator does or problems they may cause?

Yes, The resonator is just there to cut down on exhaust noise. Kinda like a second muffler.
I believe there is a TSB out on the Dodge Caliber that is to replace the Resonator due to the pipe connection being too tight and causing a noise while driving and after you shut off the engine. With the heat and expansion on the connection, it is making the noise.
Call your service writer at the dealership, and they can look up the TSB's on your car and see.

I predict they will find the problem with your engine when you reach 37,000 miles.
