1st recall....what would you suggest
For me it would absolutely, positively, and most definately be the exhaust!
Next would be the chill zone slider tray, as it seems to be a very common problem. I fixed mine with the top torn off of a box of Camel Filters, and a piece of wire. But as there aren't hardly any smokers left, that might be hard to do for most people.
Last would be the rear window washer. Hell, I didn't even know I had a problem until I read about it. Mine only leaks in the morning, when I first take off, and then it stops- If you only read those last two lines, you'd think you were on some kind of medical forum. Anyway, I always thought it was moisture in the spoiler.
That's my opinion. fitz7- Texas Black Caliber

I have to say that if those are the only complaints then I would be happy. Sure they need to be fixed, but my 2003 Ram truck had the following TSB's
Front Brakes shake when stopping (dealer replaced front rotors and pads twice before the TSB came out and D.C. released a new rotor to fix the problem)
Door seals had to be replaced under another TSB for high wind noise
Felt on the door on the inside scratching window tint (dealer replaced)
Power seats loose and move when stopping (dealer replaced seat rails)
Transmission shifting problems, wouldn't downshift properly (dealer reflashed the TCM)
Engine quitting when shifted into reverse when cold (dealer reflashed the PCM)
The above are not all the problems, but I still love my truck, and would buy a Dodge again over any other brand vehicle.
It takes time for Dodge to see the problems with a new model vehicle, but I am sure they will take care of these problems the Calibers are having. I see they have already issued a TSB for the exhaust resonator fitment causing clicking noises.
Heck, maybe they will issue a pack of Camels with each Caliber to fix the Chill Zone!!! J/K
Keep checking with your Dodge dealer and make sure you have a good service manager that is willing to investigate the problems with D.C.
Difference between a TSB and a Recall is that a Recall usually involves safety and needs to be addressed on all vehicles of that model. TSB's are just information for the technician to look at and repair a problem that someone brings their vehicle in for. You will not be notified of TSB's. Plus TSB's are only good while your vehicle is under warranty through D.C. after your warranty expires, they will not perform a TSB under Warranty. You will have to pay.

Good place to find information about your vehicle.

You're right, these are relatively minor problems compared to some new vehicles. And for being a new model, I think Dodge did a great job. I really expected to have a lot more problems, so I feel very fortunate.

The only annoying thing to me, and may not be possible, but would like to see if the cvt could be made to lockup at 65 to 70 so the revs don't jump so high. The 2 liter has plenty of power and feels like it could stay near 2000 r's even at 70.
The one thing I really really hate about this car is the annoying sliding arm rest. Its waaaaaay toooo loose! It almost feels as if the arm rest has ball bearings or something, totally ridiculous...
My local dealer has three SE's, and there all way loose. DC needs to fix that right away! I don't have my car yet, and I'm already thinking of ways to fix this prblem. Anyway, it makes the car interior feel cheap to me, so this is at the top of my list of what needs to be done. Anyone else feel this way about the arm rest?
