My new Caliber - YeeHa!
Just wanted to officially join the ranks of proud Caliber owners. We were going to order an SXT in steel blue, until I saw a red one at the gym and said to myself - screw blue, I want red! Anyway, it took (what seemed like) forever to find one with the options I wanted, but patience prevailed. I found one about an hour and a half from my house. I called on Friday night and they still had it, we were there Saturday morning. We did ALOT of negotiating for NOT ALOT of money off, but we did get $400 more for our trade than they wanted to give us for it ('96 Jetta - not worth $400 alone IMO) and about $400 off MSRP.
We almost walked out when we went to the financing dept. We were pre-approved through our credit union for 5.74% and they quoted us 6.89% - we told them to forget it unless they could come down on the interest rate (I thought I was going to puke on her desk thinking about losing this car!). She dropped a point to 5.89% and we got the extended warranty with Lojack for less than the original payment @ 6.89!
Anyway, I love the car! I got the SXT Sport 2.0 auto in Inferno Red with the red inserts (they look AWESOME!). I got the Musicgate system with in dash CD changer, sunroof and driver convenience package with heated seats. The dealer told us it came with the cargo cover which comes with the security group, so after it was all said and done, we got one "on the house".
I can't get enough of this car, and that sound system is great! I'll post some pics after I detail her and snap some photos.
Think I'll go for a drive now! Seeya

Yeah - if I could keep my wife out of it, I'd be able to take some! Every time I come home, it seems like she "needs" to go out for something.
It's cool, we're both loving it, hope to post some pics tomorrow as long as the rain holds off.
