realibility od caliber
Hello! This is my firs post as you can see..
I am writing to you from Poland... This year Dodge entered into european market and now they introduced Dodge Calliber.
The differece beetwen USA and EU version is that we don't have 4x4 version and we have diesel engine. I'm interested in buying diesel engine which comes from VW so I am sure
that it is very good one - 140 hp and 310nm. Rest of the car is for us brand new so I have the question - how does this car runs ? Is it realiable ?? I mean suspension, electric stuuf, AC, ABS , ESP???
I need car for long trips 600 - 800 miles per day so I don't want car which brakes every week....
Thanks for any comments in advance...
Pawel

I can only say this, I've only had my RT AWD for two weeks now but absolutly no problems. Suspension , brakes and everything thing else are very satisfactory. I've only heard of minor issues on some of the early releases so far. This car is a blast to drive.
Monter-> kimbo K. is the first of many to come I hope, that have 2.0 CRD Caliber (Germany).
ask him some question.
I hope soon to be a caliber owner too, and stop to inquiry all the people with doubt.
Never forget.. that it is a "premiere" in Europe.. and the only reference that "we" have.. is the VW TDI engine that caliber have mounted.
for the rest... try in google.. for reviews, buyers guide, road test, etc...
but never very objectives...
I have to try one...
I wish.. that Dodge.. let do a week-end trial, even with a maximum.. to make.. real-life test drive. and not a seally drive round the block.
cheers, fLAVIO
By the way.. welcome.. to the DodgeForum... Non-US users are hard to find in this "area"

I got my Sxt May 13th and i havnt had any problems different from what ive read here. i.e. exhaust click and that noise from the front. but overall ive clocked 5k miles. so good so far. on a side note does anyone know how to find a production date via vin number of something to that nature. and from reading other forums i got mine early May and it is a 2007.
hey Pawel,

so i'm verry happy with the car!

had just 2 probs with my car. the cellphone holder in the armrest (pics soon).
and the "marder" or fellow or marten, or how ever you 'll call it
has been under my hood and i have the car just a week
[:@]
don't know if its good for longer trips, cause the interior is completely plastic, so if you're driving so much a day, .... don't know
test it!
the bigger prob seems to be the waiting times. i've heard from many guys, that they have to wait till january for the car cause they sell so much!

greetings from saxony, germany
