Interesting...who loves the Caliber too!
I saw this posted and thought it was..interesting. It appears that the Caliber (along with a bunch of other cars) is being embraced by the Gay/Lesbian community as well.
Hey..the sales are coming from everywhere I guess...! I think their criteria for picking "gay friendly manufacturers" is the most interesting part....it just goes to show that DCX (and others) need to be concious of all kinds of different factors to sell their cars.

ATLANTA – The 2007 Saturn Sky two-seat convertible has generated the most interest among gay and lesbian car shoppers and enthusiasts, according to Gaywheels.com, the first automotive website specifically targeted to the LGBT community.
Revealing for the first time specifically which vehicles the LGBT consumer is considering, Gaywheels.com released a list of the 10 vehicles most researched by LGBT car buyers.
While Saturn's newly introduced sport coupe topped the list, the Toyota Yaris, the Dodge Caliber, the Volkswagen Jetta, the Audi A3, the Saab 9-3 and the Toyota Prius were also among the top 10 gay-favorite automobiles.
"There are many stereotypes about what we as a community drive and to a certain extent, stereotypes are based on the most visible members of our community. The reality is that we live and work everywhere in the U.S. and we are as diverse as the rest of the population," said Joe LaMuraglia, founder of Gaywheels.com.
"The vehicles that the Gaywheels.com user is researching are markedly different than that of other automotive research websites, while still reflecting the diverse interests in our community."
Each vehicle on the list is from a gay-friendly brand, which suggests that when armed with facts about vehicles and the companies that build them, gay consumers are more likely to shop and spend with brands that support their community, LaMuraglia said.
Gaywheels.com classifies all vehicle manufacturers as gay friendly or not based on their corporate policies for offering domestic-partner benefits to their employees in the U.S.
LaMuraglia said the data also challenges the generalization that the LGBT community is only interested in luxury vehicles. Only two luxury brands, Audi and Saab, were among the top 10.
"Notice that there are also inexpensive and fuel-efficient vehicles in the Top 10 -- most notably the Toyota Yaris and Dodge Caliber," he said.
The list is based on website statistics gathered from April 1–June 30, 2006 from Gaywheels.com's new car section powered by Edmunds.com data. [7/11/06]

The way they phrased their study I think it may have produced a skewed result. They simply said "vehicles most researched", you may have had alot of the LGBT community "researching" the car after hearing about the lawsuit and complaints regarding its commercials.
[sm=icon_blah.gif][sm=icon_blah.gif][sm=icon_blah.gif]...dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Gay or not, who frickin cares what they embrace. I really don't get it, how does someones sexual preference relate to a particular brand of car they perfer to buy, or of anything at that matter?! This is stupid![:@] Admin, for the love of God, please remove this thread! Before you know it, we'll have threads here about how the majority of Caliber owners are black and so forth. We don't need this here!
Actually, this thread was going well till you said something [8D]

Simple enough.

I see mahal's point, but on the other hand, gaywheels.com brought this to the forefront. Nobody cared until the gay lesbian groups made a big deal of it, also the point of the fairy commercial. In that respect, I say we can talk about it as much as we want.
