Been driving my new Civic for a week now. I gotta say...I used to spend an hour a day on this and other caliber forums just worrying myself to death about quality and of course, how long it would take for my RT to show up. I finally pulled the plug, got my money back and now I check in here 2 minutes a week to see what I'm missing. I discovered all I'm missing is a bunch of frustration. Life is good driving a Civic. Car of the year, awesome gas mileage, impeccable reliability, and it wont depreciate 6,000 bucks in one year. The grass is greener over here boys. Get your Caliber in a few years when they will be cheap like borscht and have all the problems worked out.
It will run out of rice eventually! Either that or the rubber band will break!

Its funny you say that about a rubber band. Is it not the CVT Caliber that runs on a rubber band? Anyway...I know your just funnin. I'm not going to seriously poke fun at Calibers like some other people here who bought other rides. I like Calibers in general. Looked forward (albeit with some trepidation) to getting one but just couldn't wait any longer for something that wasn't proven. Hey I can wait 3 months for a Corvette or a Beemer but not a first year Dodge. I'll look at getting a diesel next year if they bring it to Canada. For those of you driving a Caliber....I truly hope you enjoy it. They are a sweet looking little vehicle. But not cute!

I haven't been waiting as long as some others on this board. I placed an order on 5/20/06 and DC rec'd it on 5/22. All I wanted was a sunroof, really. (In addition to some other options that I wanted) Now, in hindsight, am willing to take anything that's even close to the options I originally wanted. For once, the 1-800 line and my dealership were on the same page! Guys - They're having mucho problems with the seat manufacturer on the SXT's; It seems they quit midway through the job. I heard that there's over 148,000 orders right now. Can't build w/o seats.

I'm hopping on over to a Dodge only dealer where there's 20 on the lot....The wait could be another 2, 3, 4 months or greater otherwise...[:@]

yeaH WAITING SUCKS, but still i will wait.
They gave me a price for my old car and the longer it takes the cheaper it will be for me, i won't spend a dime on my old car, and my tires smoke out of frustration hahaha no problemo.

and besides what the hell should i buy for that money anyway?

I went looking on Tuesday 8/1 and drove home a Marine Blue SXT Sport yesterday. It turns out that it has more options than I had originally ordered. Plus I went for the complete rust-proofing package as well as the 3-year warranty extension. The oil change plan was a bargain as well...

If anyone here wants theirs straight away and lives even remotely close to Albany, New York; I can point you to an awesome dealer!

The last I knew; there were plenty of black, orange, red and silver. Both shades of blue went off the lot first...
