I ordered my Caliber on June 12th. I received the VIN number on July 24th. How much longer do you think I have to wait until my baby is delivered.

Just make a space under the Christmas Tree.

Current expectations vary, its all a hodgepodge of info right now, it could be another couple of months or you could get it next month, people are getting all kinds of info and all kinds of dates. Supposibly there is still a backlog of orders and factory is still having robot problems, but things could be getting better. When your car gets built depends on dealer allocation and what the factory is building at the time. Example: If you have an order in, dealer is allocated a car, and factory just happens to be building SXT's with your options in a particular week, the chances are good that something will happen, but not guaranteed.

 

If you got a VIN it is passed dealer allocation and scheduling problems.
Excpect it to be in "D1" status for 2-3 weeks.
Then transportation can take another 2-3 weeks.
So I would guess 6 weeks is a safe bet.

But I have never been able to accurately tell someone when thier new vehicle would be on-ground.
Sometimes it happens inside of 3 weeks, sometimes it takes 3 months.

 

Ordered my Caliber 5/1, went into "D" status two weeks ago, and thats where its at as of 8/14. Still waiting...[&o] You're Lucky Shadow, your car wentt into "D" pretty quick! You should be thankful...
