Default sun roof...

i've searched and couldn't find this answer, so i'm going to go ahead and post it...if it's been answered, please don't flame...thanks!

has Dodge fixed the Sun Roof leaking problem???...or is it just hit and miss with the one's that leak??? If the sun roof does leak..how quickly did you dealership fix it? and did they give you the run around about it??

i have found a black Caliber with everything i want and the one thing that i'm leary of...the sun roof....i would prefer not to have one...but it's the only AWD R/T with the music gate that i can find in the state of Ga...lol...

thanks for your help!!

Mine hasn't leaked yet either. I have 3100 miles on mine. I think one of the main things is to keep the drain holes clear of any debris. There are 2 holes under the sunroof itself that drains any water that gets through the gasket going around the sunroof glass. Another thing would be no not park under a tree which could get needles and/or leaves into the drain holes, which would cause it to leak as well.

I think nearly all of the problems the early Calibers had are pretty much fixed. I haven't had any issues with mine at all and my Caliber was a rush job at the assembly plant because they screwed up and never built my Caliber when it was supposed to be built. It was even pulled from the quality control audit. So I'm very happy and this has been one of the best investments I've ever made. So if you're having any doubts about anything else on the Caliber I wouldn't worry about them. Good Luck! Hope you get it soon!

Ours leaks regularly. Haven't had the time to let them have it for a day to fix it yet.

Out of curiousity, where does the drained water go? I also have a sun roof, haven't had a car wash or rain to see if mine leaks yet. I will find out this Friday though.

According to the parts manual there are 4 sunroof drains.
2 go from the front edge of panel down each A pillar and there are 2
which drains the glass channel down the left and right side pillar.
