Default e-brake light on

2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. The e-brake light goes on at random times while driving. The e-brake is not on and I'm not sure why this is happening. It seems to happen more when just exiting a highway after traveling at a higher rate of speed and slowing down at the end of the exit ramp. Anyone with similar problems? Anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?

Ck your master cylinder for fluid and fill if needed, and then have the brakes inspected. Also ck the switch on the e-brake assy and see if the tab is broken or loose.

That red BRAKE light on your dash is telling you to drive it to the shop ASAP and get your braking system checked!

It not only tells you when your parking brake is on, but it goes on if your brake fluid is low, or the pressure in the brake lines is low.

DON'T IGNORE IT.

Don't panic--this is usually an indication that the fluid is low in your master cylinder--it gives lots of advance warning so fill it first and see what happenes.
