I have a 2000 and the tailights are held on with philips screws, but I bet your's are held on with Torx screws whichhave a "star" shaped screw head. You can get Torx drivers almost everywhere these days. You may want to get a multi size set that looks like a set of allen wrenches, but are really Torx drivers.

on my 94, i believe they were held on by 2 5/16 hex head screws. They might also have had a a philips center, but I'm pretty sure I used either a 1/4 drive socket with extensions and the appropriate socket.

If Ya don't have a screwdriver or a socket, what tools would you think you might use!?! We are talking a plastic light assembly here....Gonna need tools for the LED lights unless they're pre-stick...lol
