i have a 2002 caravan sport. it is very basic model. recently when i started it all of the circles around the gear letters light up, that has happened twice. i now have a whining noise coming from the engine at start up and when i excel. if anyone has any info on what it may be. everything seems to be running fine except this noise.

 

The problem could be in the cluster or the Ignition switch. You can pull codes out of the TCM and may get a shifter signal error.
