We just purchased a 2006 Dodge Caravan the Air Bag light comes on and stays on some times go's off it is indtermitted.

The van has 38000 miles on it I going to call the dealer that we got it from thisTuesday for this and other small problems we found on thedrive home Satruday night and info what to look for would be helpful so the dealer ship can't B/S me.

I have talked to the dealer about some of the other problems they said they will make it right so far but they dont know about the Air bag yet.

I know the airbag light comes on at start up my 2006 Ram is the same but after a short while it go's off.

Any one Help.

 

alot of newer vehicles the airbag light will come on if there is no one in the passenger seat.. when does it come on?

 

Have the dealer ck for stored codes and active codes. You could have high resisted at one of the modules or clockspring.

 

It's my wifes Van I think it comes on most of the time when she driving alone.

I a older type car mechanic so this newer stuff is still strange to me.

Then again if you worked on them like you doI guess this is normal stuff for you I ams Aircraft Mechanic some the stuff we deal with would be strange to some other mechanics also.
