Default 2002 Caravan Check engine codes

I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan with about 80,000 miles on it. The check engine light come on with engine codes P1684, PO442, P0455, and PO456. I cleared the codes one time and drove vehicle for two weeks before the engine light came back on. Engine runs fine and with thecheck engine light on or off. What could be my problem. Thanks Mike

P1684 - Battery disconnected within last 50 starts. Really it's saying the PCM lost ignition source power in the last fifty starts. Generally not much to worry about. Many cars ride around with this code set and owners don't know it. It won't create symptoms. It won't even turn on the check engine light.

mikesanwald Go to YouTube and type in Dodge Caravan EVAP leaks. You'll find videos on what to look for.

My engine light came on last week and came up the code P0456 on my '03 Grand Caravan. It's my only code that came up. Checked the obvious locations connectors, hoses near air filter. Found that my pcv valve was loose and tightened it and cleared the codes again. After a very short drive down the street the check engine light came on again. Traced all evap hoses to the vapor canister under the van and pulled off one 3/8 hose off the canister only to find out that the hose split near the connector. Bought a regular 3/8 fuel hose and cut it to length and put new clamps on and slightly tightened them up. I then cleared the codes again and drove the car about 2 miles and no problems with the check engine light. Hooked up OBDII to recheck for any codes and found nothing. Seems to be all okay now. Very simple to fix even a monkey can do it.

Here is what the vapor canister on a GC looks like. It's located on the driver's side under the car. It's big and you can't miss it!!!
