Hello All,

My engine light is on. I went to have it check at autozone, the code read as follow:

P0700

Definition: Transaxle control system fault

Explanation

ECM received a signal that the transaxle control module has a fault

Probable causes

1. shorted or open circuit within transaxle
2. failure of transaxle control module

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

P0700 will kick the lite on because there is a problem with the transmission, You need to remove the codes out of the TCM. Is your speedo working?

what is speedo please?

Let me state the problem.
When I start the engine works fine, but can not shift to drive. I have to restart few times before shifting to drive gear. And drove about few minutess the drive gear turned loose and the car stopped middle of the road. It took 10 minutes before I was able to shift to drive again.

Please tell me what is the problem and how to fix the problem or I have to bring to the dealer?

You are all so mean here. I am female and this is my first time try to fix the van, therefore have asked may be weird question, but no one bother to answere.

I just went to another forum and found out that speedo is abbreviated of speedometer.

When I ask about the speedo working, sometimes when the output turbine sensor shorts out the speedo stops working, causing the transmission to go into limp-in or fail safe mode. The output sensor will also cause the rolling door locks to stop working too.
