Hello everyone, I'm new here and couldn't find any other posts about this....

My employer is likely purchasing a 2006 Caravan for me to drive. Currently I drive a Safari Cargo van, but it isimpossible with 2 kids and a niece to do daycare drop-off and pick-up with only a single passenger seat. Anyway, we are planning on building a tool lock-up in the back of the caravan after permanently removing the third row. My question is, will the 3rd row bench fit where the 2nd row bench currently sits. The third row bench looks longer to me, so there should be enough space for three car seats. We don't have the van yet, so I'm unable to test this. Does anyone know if the 3rd row bench will fit where the 2nd row bench is currently positioned? It may sound like a dumb question, but I really am new to Caravans and I have no experience with them.

The van is a regular length with two benches, I have noticed an extra couple of mounting brackets in the 2nd row that I'm assuming are for the optional captains seats and they look like they might be the right width to accomodate the 3rd row bench.

Any comments would be appreciated.

 

I am not 100% positive but in our 94 we could put the back seat in the middle and in our 01 we can do the same
