Default Oil light

Ok, my wifes 2005 GCSXT 3.8L has 53Kmi. Her oil light came on her way home last night. Checked it when she got home, and oil level was fine. I just changed the oil 1kmi ago. Started it up and the light stayed off. Tried it again this morning and stayed off also. I only use synthetic oil so there shouldn't be much in the way of sludge. Could it be the sending unit flaking out? It was about 0 degress last night. Thanks guys.

With colder weather you may want to use lighter oil, maybe 5/20 or 0/40 oil.

Interesting, I'll give 'em a call and see if they know what I'm talking about. I searched online and found an article on this. It says the part number is 06101793 a grey colored bolt. I'll see if thats right.
