Default Door Locks not working

Hello --

I have a 2005 Grand Caravan and the locks stopped working. When I use the remote control, the brake lights flash and no changes to all 4 doors. When I use the switch on the driver/passenger door, nothing happens. What do I need to look at?

Thanks
Eric

The quick fix is to pull the IOD fuse for a few seconds. You'll see responses on here about taking your vehicle to a dealership and having the body control module re-flashed. That didn't work for me. As a matter of fact I didn't have the problem until my BCM was replaced last year due to the inverted turnsignal problem (when you signal RIGHT, the LEFT comes on). I've taken my2005 GC to the dealership and they won't even look at it because the body control module computer was replaced last year. Their rationale is that the replacement computer already has the latest update and their is nothing more that they can do. I've contended that the van is still under the extended warranty which we purchased when we bought the vehicle new, but they refuse to even look at it unless I front the $75 re-flashing fee.
Never again.

I have this same problem. I just let it be. is the flash 75? i was told 30. You can by the way use the remote to unlock and lock the back hatch.

There is a TSB 08-028-05 that may fix your problem,Its a flash. You may want to ck with you local dealer to find out if the flash would be covered under your emission warranty or your basic warranty.
