hey guys does anyone know the part number of the flat piece that the upper sturt mount bolts into? it should be about an8 in circle with a 3-4 inch hole in the center and 3 5/16 hole that she strut bolts to. it fits inside of the strut tower cap part # 5080009-aa . mine is to far gone to have the cap glued in so chrysler won't do it under the good faith warrenty so said to take it into a body shop and have it welded in. i arranged to have full access to the body shop for the day tomorrow thinking i just needed the cap but after picking it up i realze i need the inner plate also and our local dealership can not find a part number for it. any help would be great

TSB 23-044-02 for the struts. Thats for 1996 thru 2000. Mopar part number in case you don't have them, are left side 1st 5080009aa for the cap and 5086513aa for the kit. right side 5080008aa and 5086512aa for the kit. There is also adhesive too 5083655aa and need two cartridges.

 

i have part number 5080009aa when i took ita dodge dealer that was going to it under the good faith warrenty they said mine can not be done using the adheavise and not to buy the kit because all it includes is the rivits,screws and instructions. mine has to actually be welded in and the flat piece that is right under the part number 5080009aa is what it's the piece that the strut actually bolts into. the part number5080009aa is just a reinforcement cap. i still can't believe this wasn't a recall then to have the dealer call and say they couldn't do the job and that it had to be done at a body shop that the warrenty wouldn't cover after dropping it off was just the last straw. i've been a die hard chrysler fan for 20 years and i can honestly say this van will be the last newer chrysler product i will buy. on a side note if anyone wants a free van i park it at stores all the time unlocked and running just hoping it will be stolen because i can't even get crap for it on trade in with the strut tower problems.
