My water pump went bad and he dealer wants to charge me $600.00 to replace. Is this something I can do myself. I have done a lot work on cars myself i.e brakes, alternators, etc. Just looking for some feedback.

You will need to remove the timing belt.

 

Anyone in the Maryland (Montgomery County) area that can or know a mechanic who can give me a good price for installing a new water pump on my 2000 caravan 2.4L. The dealership wants to charge me $600.00.

 

too bad you wern't so far away, i would have dont it for 100 not including parts. i've done many of these in my time.
