Transmission Fluid in my Brake Fluid?
Hey Guys......
Justgot my 2000 Caravan Sport back from the shop. My brakes froze because my brake hoses swelled and burst apperently from transmission fluid being put in where my brake fluid goes.I have one mechanic telling me this and another (who just replaced my tranny) telling me its not true. I dont know who to trust. Anyone have any ideas? It would be greatly appreciated.

Ck your master cylinder and see if the rubber has swollen, if it has then it a good chance you are oil mix in the brake fluid. And all brake hoses and wheel cylinders and calipers would need to be replace, as well as the master cylinder.
transmission fluid IS oil.. brake fluid is NOT oil.. any rubber in the brake system will be swollen if there is any kind of oil in it.. again as he stated.. if any of the rubber is swollen.. the whole mess will have to be replaced
