03 Dodge caravan rattle
We have an 03 Dodge Caravan since new, after about 2-3 yrs this rattle started in the front end, I searched the bottom of the van 5-6 times, can't find anything, other forums said to check the sway bar and the linkage, nothing wrong, sometimes I can over a set of tracks and the rattle is very quiet, sometimes it is loud, sounds like a bunch of pipes rattling, sometimes I can go over a small object or a uneven bump in the road and it makes the rattle, with the hood open I can push down on the van numerous times and it is quiet, this is puzzling me, someone said it might be a strut mount, didn,t check that yet, any ideas.
thanks

RE: 03 Dodge caravan rattle
The innards to the catalytic convertor could be loose and causing the noise.A heat shield on this same part could also be loose and can cause the noise you have.
These are a "tinny" sounding noise compared to a more heavy clunking noise caused by front-endor frame parts coming loose.
