Timing Belt Replacement
Hello Forum,
In the past, some of the poeple in this forum had been very helpful with their advises and suggestions. I want to thanks them all. Currently, I am thingking of replacing the timing belt on my1989 Doge Caravan, with the help of a friend who knows basic mechanic like I do. We have never done this before. I have the service manual for this particular minivan. However, we are kind of confuse on how to put the #1 piston on TDC (top dead center). And, how can we know when the#1 piston isat TDC.If anyone at this forum have done this before, we will appreciate their advise and suggestion. Thanks for any explanation.

Are you working on a 2.5 or 3.0L motor? But I would do before removing the belt, is to line up all the timing marks. Then replace the belt. If you need pictures of all the timing marks, just send a pm.
We are working on a 2.5L Vin:K engine of a 1989 Doge Caravan. I would appreciate very much if you can show us some pictures of the timing marks. Thanks Master T
