Am I the only one that remembers when you used to have to bring your car in every 15 -20k for a tune up, points and condenser, wheel bearing packs, etc...
Not going to buy a car again because I have to change the oil too much, that's a good one! I'll have to tell that to the guys in the shop.

 

lol oil is cheap piece of mind. so whats so hard to change it out. wonder if u unplug the engine to replace engine it be that easy and cost effective?

i think my manual says NOT to exceed 10,000km so aslong as you change it 10,000km or with in 6months i think that would almost garanty that you have a good engine when you take that long trip.

 

No. Tizzy you are not the only one. points and condenser were 12k to 15k, and you didn't replace the spark plugs,you clean them and put them back in.

 

I am also getting oil change message at 4200 km after 3 months of purchase. Manual says 6 months or 10,000 km. Dealership service insists it is 3 months or 5,000 km.
