Door trim removal?

Door trim removal?
Greetings and salutations, good people of Dodge Forum. I come to thee, humble and contrite, with a request for assistance.
See that bit of the trim? The arm rest? The upper lip of that little indentation has come out, just the gray trim part (such that it folds upward if pulled). I've tried slipping it back in, to no avail. It just won't go back in; I'm not sure if the space is too tight or what. Now, I saw that little black screw in the handle part and thought "Hey, if I just unscrew that, will the arm part come off, and can I screw it back on after fixing the trim?"
Well, can I? Or will unscrewing that one little screw magically cause the door to fall apart in some comically arbitrary fashion? Please enlighten me.

Your door won't fall off if you unscrew the pull cup screw.

RE: Door trim removal?
Alright, thank you. I have to admit, it's not really my decision, it's my dad's; he's the one who owns the car. But he's paranoid, even if with good reason (read: past experience), and I need some reassurance.
As for a service advisor, I'm not sure they'll have much to say about a 10-year-old car. Most people go through 3 cars in that time frame.
