2002 GC hesitates when cold
3.3L engine. Check Engine Light is not lit.
Engine starts just fine, cold or warm.
When cold, the engine hesitates, sometimes stalls, when accelerating from a stop. On light acceleration or maintaining steady speed, the engine feels lightly jerky at times.
Once its warmed up, it gets better. Accelerating from a stop smooths out, though there's still a subtle jerkiness from time to time. As a test, I punched the throttle up a hill. Everything did fine; nice downshift, smooth acceleration, no jerking.
Any ideas?
Separate question: I am assuming that since the Check Engine Light is not lit, there are no codes to pull that can help diagnose this issue...am I correct?
Thanks for any help!
