Default Sensor for gas fumes leaking keeps coming on. I've changed

the gas cap. It still does it. I can smell gas when I open the door to put gas in, have seen a little gas around the edge. Took that cap back, replaced it and the sensor came back on again. Interestingly, I am turning the cap at least three times to hear the clicks, but when I go to take it off, the cap is not on tight. I'm getting the caps at Advance Auto, do I need to get one from Dodge? Or what else do I need to have investigated?

Thanks for your advice!

Are you sure they are selling the right cap to you.

Default Yes, as far as I know. They

are looking it up on the screen after putting in the car info. I took one back, got another one and still the same thing.

Talking gas cap

I have never had trouble with my gas cap and even though its tightened to where it clicks it seems loose and yet there are no fumes.

I highly doubt that you've got a gas cap problem. These vans are known for leaks in their evaporative emissions hoses. Click on this link for an article on how the Chrysler EVAP system works:
