Default Emergency Brake Light

The Emergency brake light began to light up around corners even when not braking, and now is constantly light up causing the running lights to no longer come on. is this a sensor issue or does the E-brake light come on for other reasons, i.e. worn out brakes or a cyclinder issue?
any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Reads like the fluid is low....
You didn't mention checking the level.
Model and year would be helpful also.

I would check for fluid leakage around the wheels and inside under the brake pedal(master cylinder) for leaks.
Also check the brake pedal for a low or spongy pedal.
It all points to a full inspection of your brakes.

Sensors could be affected by fluid splashed on the fronts.

Hey, its a start.
Running lights......I'm stumped
God Luck,
Tom

Ck your fluid level, if its low add dot3 brake fluid and have the brakes ck'ed. If it full ck the wire going to the e brake switch on the ratchet, see if it broken and is grounding out. This will also cause the red brake lite to come on too.

they said it right. Also keep in mind, this light is not just an "e-brake" light. It is a general brake system warning lamp, for example-when you put the e-brake on, the
lamp warns you to take it off before driving.
