Here is another: Grand Caravan LE 1997 AWD ABS .
Aug 2007 I had my rear brakes replaced disks,pads etc. and the hand brake shoes (?) replaced..as suggested by the dealer because my hand brake was seized on the back brakes and was making noise. Since Sept 08, occasionally when I use my hand brake to park, then back up my car in the morning, apply the brakes to stop reversing to then shift forward , just as I apply the brake I heard a LOUD BANG ! The first time this happen it was not very loud, then it got louder each time it happened again. The strange thing is that the sound does not happen every time I back up only occasionaly when I back out of my driveway in the morning .
Any ideas ??

 

The problem could the rear park brake actuator levers could cause this noise, You'll need to rack the van and inspect.
