Default '99 Grand falling on its face

I have a '99 Grand Caravan ES with the 3.8 V6 with @187K on it. When it is going up hills, it falls flat on it's face. New plugs, wires, and air cleaner were installed in June prior to this problem coming about. The only other thing that was changed after the problem started was the fuel filter and that did not help any. No engine light either. Any ideas???

I was having some issues aswell with what I thought was at first miss shifting trans.

Trans was looked at and everything was ok.

Then I though miss firing.

So I spent 5 bucks on fuel injector cleaner and ran that through half a tank and honestly it has seemed to cure the problem.

I have always been a cheep skate at the pump and have never ran injector cleaner, always thought it was a scam. now with 90K on our 99 3.8L V6 grand caravan, it seems to run smoother and less "missing". might go run one more bottle of that injector stuff.

just my thoughts

It does down shift. It feels as though it is surging sometimes when going up hills and down the road.
