not sure what to look for but after church this morning, the fan started kickin on when the van is off, comes on about every 5 min - coolant level is good, about 4 hours after this started, the check engine light came on - van drives normal - but the fan is continuing to come on, left a battery tender on it for the over night as I was concerned it would waste the battery.

Any ideas?.

 

well I spoke with a few trusted mechanics - the general concensus is a bad fan relay - 37.57 @ local NAPA - going to pick it up in an hour - we'll see if that fixs it

 

oh boy - just my luck to have a "Differant" vehicale. Everyone lists this one relay for the application - and I have another. If anyone ever runs accross this, the one listed is a small - mabe half-dollar coin size relay - the one I have is about the size of a pad lock, with heat sink pins - large in comparrison - part number R4827 from Autozone - everyone has their own number thou - believe it or not - the only application listed for the correct relay is for a Crysler town N Country - Not the Grand Carivan - looks like it is a vender only item - 2-3 weeks for delivery - WTF - checkin with the dealer latter today
