I have a dodge carvan 97 and just purchsed its key less entry remote J5523518T1 as the old one stopped functioning most probably due to some iternal damage due to its fall on hard floor.
The seller on the internet was selling this remote with its programming instructions but once recived those instructions do not match with the my van's configuration as I do not find " Valet / Override " button any where and now the seller is directing me to the dealership for the programming which I have been avoiding all the way for the obvious reasons.
Is there any one to help me out please.............., the level of my technical knowlege and practical experiance ranges between Average to Above average. Looking forward for Immediate response. Thanks in advance. Asim MAhmood.

 

Do you still have the owners manual, if you do look for programing remote. Next internet and seach under program keyless remote and the year of your van, Last would be the dealer.

97 requires one operating remote to open on-board programming. No remote, gotta have a programmer.
