We've had our Caravan for about 6 or 7 years and am about to replace the servo pack for at least the 3rd or 4th time because it's leaking ! Is this a common problem? Can this part only be purchased at a dealer? Any suggestions? I'm about fed up with this. If it's not this it's the cooling lines. Thanks alot in advance.

 

I have a '96 with the A604 (or 41t3) and have never had a servo leak. Yes they are available at aftermarket suppliers just Google Dodge transmission servo pack.

 

Yes, this is a common problem. Type in solenoid pack not servo pack. They comin with leaks all the time, most of the time it's just the gasket under it, that might be all it is.

I paid $85 for a solenoid pack for an a604/41TE transmission (2002 Grand Caravan).

 

Where are the numbers at to Identify your transmissio. Mine started popping in and out of gear and finally spit out a P0700 and a P0870 saying a switch went bad. Is this is the Solonoid pack?

Please help Dodge Caravans really stink.

 

All Dodge Caravan' , that have over drive, which is a circle around the D, have the A604 trans in them. 99% of the time if you have a switch code, example being, L/R switch stuck or curicuit error, it is the solenoid pack. This also includes UD, OD, and 2/4 pressure switch curcuit error's.

 

Ck the cooler lines above the solenoid pack. I have seen the transmission case crack beteen the the lines. also ck the cooler lines going to the radiator too. Be sure all clamps are tight.
