i have a 80's caravan not sure exactly what year right now but it started running really rough and the check engine light comes on also i really do not have the money right now to buy the tester if anyone knows how to use a paperclip or something to get the same effect so i can find out what to do that would be great to get the code also i already replaced the maf and map sensor and put a used oxygen sensor in and that did not change anything thank you.

 

Do you have a power lost lite or a ck engine lite? And you have a 3.0L or a 2.2L motor?

 

actually it is a 1998 caravan and a check engine light is the one coming on 2.3 or 2.9
