Hey fellas,

I was driving my 96 T&C 3.8 4spd auto w/120k miles today when it down shifted for a hill and never made it to 3rd. When I slowed down enough it shifted in to second.

I pulled over, put it in park and shut it off and when i took off again it started in first shifted to second and when it tried to shift to third its like it goes into nuetral. As soon as I slow down, right back into second it goes.

I'm assuming it went into limp mode even though I don't have any extra lights on on the gear indicator like I did when my Intrepid did it. I tried the key dance and only got the usual...Battery disconnected and end. I'm gonna try to get to autozone and use their code reader tomorrow but right now I'm at a loss!

Any body got an idea of what it could be?

Maybe I shucked third gear?

Clutch packs?

 

You may have snap a 2/4 hub, You'll need to put codes out of the TCM. The key dance only works for PCM codes not transmission.
