I have a 98 caravan with a 3.3 in it. I have the obd2 reader and get no codes and the "C" and "E" are flashing on the tester. It is recomended to force the van to run the "DTC" test as the flashing letters indicate the test is not finished or has not run. can anyone tell me how to force the completion of this test on the van? I need to get a local emissions test on it and would like to confirm with the obd2 reader before paying out the 40 bucks for a government idiot test. thanks

 

First have dodge tech hook up a DRB3 and ck the carb readness and for codes. If there are no codes in the emission, then run the smog test. An OBD2 scanner can not do everything a factory can do.
