Use a flat blade screwdriver and push the red tab to unlock the connector. Once the tab has been unlock it should come apart by pushing down on the release tab.

Thanks Master Tech.

is the release tab you mentioned to the right of the red lock tab in the picture? if so, I accidentally broke it when I was trying to disconnect it.

I asked, earlier, the same question about Chrysler electrical connectors in general that would not come apart. Yes, push the red tab sideways and press down on the tab. Push the connector In, first. Then pull apart.

A broken locking tab in that position should not be a problem - not too
much stress on connector. Just make sure it is tight when connected.

Monitor it every week or so - when you do your weekly oil level check -
easy to do in its location.

(Note: I thought of going to the local Pick-Ur-Part and practice disconnecting THEIR electrical connectors.)

Thanks all for the helpful info. I got it disconnected by using a screw driver.
