I have a noise that is coming from underneat my van. The van is in good shape no wrecks. When I crank and place the van in Reverse or Drive or - when I add power there is a pop-pop type of noise. It also occurs when I am at a stop and I acclerate and I hear it when I apply the brake. The noise is not coming from the brakes but it is almost like only when taking off or starting to stop on application of brake pressure. The van has original shocks, struts etc. Please provide the best suggestions possible. Thanks

 

Could be a loose nut for the drive axle or bad drive axle. Could also be bad motor mount. Torque for the axle nuts are 160 to 180 ft pounds.
