1996 Caravan 3.3 engine knock (new motor)

1996 Caravan 3.3 engine knock (new motor)
Installed a rebuilt 3.3L in my Caravan about 4000 miles ago. I did all the proper breaking in stuff.
Now I have a engine knock. No codes present. I thought it might be the cam and crank sensor.
When I installed the cam sensor.. the engine wont start. If I put the old cam sensor back in, then the motor starts
I tried the crank sensor next, and when I installed the new crank sensor, the motor wont start, but the old one back in
and theh motor runs, (with the knock)
Any ideas?
