Just started having problem with my signal lights and wipers not working all the time. If tilt wheel is left up switch works fine. When wheel is lowered switch works intermittantly. I'm guessing tilt wheel is either pinching a wire or loosening a connection. I'm original owner about 65000 miles. Is this something I can check myself? Out of work so don't have several hundred for a dealer to look at it. Any suggestions???

 

You should be able to remove a few screws and remove the column cover to check the plug and wiring/switch.
