My 2000 Grand Caravan is having some problems where the dome lights are intermittently flashing, the rear hatch door open symbol on the dash comes on, and the power door locks are automatically locking frequently even when the van is parked.

We just recently bought the van and the problem just started happening. It seems like a door solenoid or switch issue but I am not sure.

Has anyone seen this issue or have a clue on what I should check?

Any help would be appreciated.

 

My problem was a little different, but the door locks would intermittently work with a clicking noise coming from the dash. Also, dome lights would sometimes not shut off, running the battery dead. I ended up ripping out what looked like an aftermarket keyless entry module mounted under the dash. That was a year ago and I've no problems since.

 

Thanks for the info I do not have keyless entry but I will check into this anyhow.
