Default Caravan Auto Unlock; Can It Happen?

The Issue:

I want to enable the Auto Unlock feature for the power door locks on my 2001 Caravan, and the manual is of no use.

What I already know:

From reading multiple forums and the manual (forwards and backwards, twice) I know I can enable and disable the Auto LOCK; which would be great, if that's what I were looking for. I'm looking for information on the Auto UNLOCK and apparently there is none.

The real problem:

The owners' manual for my van simply states to see "Overhead Console, User Programmable Features section," in reference to enabling/disabling the Auto Unlock. Well, guess what? There IS NO section in the manual for User Programmable Features. There is, on the other hand, a little bit of info on the Overhead Console; like what everything means and does, how to calibrate this and that; but NO information WHAT SO EVER on the enable OR disable of the Auto Unlock feature. It's almost as if Dodge referenced a section of the owners' manual, and then forgot to include that particular section.

The Bottom Line:

Surely in the last 8 years since my style of van has rolled off the assembly line, someone somewhere has managed to figure out how to enable this feature, preferably without having to make a trip to the dealer to give them a fist full of cash to take 2 seconds with a handheld gizmo and flip some electronic dip switch to make it work.

If that someone is you, please, by all means share the wealth.

I have found so many forums, threads and posts in relation to this very subject that almost always leads to no where, with no new information, only disappointment and frustration when the leads simply run cold.
