Hi, i took my dodge caravan 2003 for a checkup and they told me i have a harsh 4-3 downshift and delayed engagement. they want me to replace my transmission for about $3600 but i was wondering if changing the transmission fluid and filter would delay the effect of a harsh downshift on the car because i don't want to spend 3.6k on a car worth 5k now....

 

Do these TSB's first 21-006-03 4-3 harsh downshift problem and TSB 21-004-05 for delay engagement. 21-006-03 is a flash and 21-004-05 is to replace the front pump only if you have code P1791/P0944.
