Default Speedo has a mind of its own

I have a 92 Grand Caravan and my Speedo has started acting up. I'll drive it when i 1st start itand the Speedo won't work. Then when it gets warm it will sorta work. Then when I go on the Highway it will work but only till 50mph then it will just start waving around. Now I know how to work on cars and what not and pretty much know its the Speed Sensor. But which one do I replace. If it was the output sensor wouldn't it not shift?

prolly need new speed sensor in 92 they are on the passengers side axle shaft transmission housing it has a 10mm bolt holding it in pretty easy to change from under neath or if you have long arms you can get at it from the top. 93 changed to using output speed sensor.
