Default 2008 Caravan with rough shifting

We have a 2008 Caravan SXT with the 3.8L V6.

We absolutely love it, however when shifting from 2nd to 3rd it is not very smooth.

I was told that reprogramming the computer would possible fix this. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Does anyone know what reprogramming costs?

Thanks.

TSB 21-017-08 maybe the flash you are think about, Find out if you are still under factory warranty. Then the dealer would need to flash at no charge to you.

Only takes them a matter of minutes to flash the PCM, I wouldn't think it could cost that much.

Although a transmission issue is powertrain related, you should have a lifetime warranty on powertrain...

I bought an '08 for my mom in Sept. of '07 when the first ones hit my local lot. Only drove it a couple of times until this past April, when I drove her from her place in Florida to NY and back in it.
Awesome vehicle, IMO. It's got the 4.0 V6 and has all the power you would ever want in a mini van. I drove the whole way up in one shot, about 22 hours and never once cramped up or was overly uncomfortable.
I have never had much use for cars or mini vans, but I am completely impressed by hers...
