i have 2 caravans a 99 3.8L and a 00 3.3.
on startup and slight throttle and when turning engine off the 3.3 makes a very loud sucking sound. if you manually tip the throttle plate open a bit it sucks very loudly.
i'm not totally familiar with the Caravan's vacuum lines and whether there is a vacuum reservoir etc or what the possible cause could be.

prolly check air clener hoses for leaks or mabye it the sucking sound of the $$ you gotta dump into it.lol

 

yes that was what i meant when i was laughing even before starting my post.

i did also clean the throttle body and the edges of the plate but it didnt change anything.

 

i gotta super idea y not take off all the air cleaner stuff from each van and swap. it's like only a couple clamps and 3 10mm screws
