1999 GC/ES transmission problem
I have a 1999 Grand Caravan ES with 194k miles. The transmission has been the vehicle's only Achilles Heel, having been rebuilt three times, the last of which was 4/07 at 130k. I'm starting to have problems with a hard shift into first gear, not pulling at all, and occasionally erratic instrument needle sweeps . I pulled the codes and got:
P0705-Check Shifter Signal Circuit Malfunction
P0731-First Gear Incorrect Ratio
P0736-Reverse Gear Incorrect Ratio
P1782-2-4 Pressure Switch
P1784-L/R Pressure Switch
P1789-2/4/Overdrive Pressure Switch
P1791-Loss of Prime
P1796-Add'l Autostick Input Circuit
I checked the fluid and it was darker than it should be and a quart and a half low. I filled it up and cleared the codes. Now, two days later, I got another hard shift into first and a CEL, which was DTC P0731. Any ideas?

You'll need to have someone with solid transmission knowledge physically check this out. Worst guess, you'll need another rebuild. Best guess, change fluid and filter. The loss of prime will cause most all the other codes and that can be something as simple as a plugged filter (doubtful buy you might get lucky)
