I have a 2004 Grand Caravan SXT and it is burning about 1 quart of Oil every 1000 miles. It currently has about 27,000 K on it and the oil has been changed roughly every 3000 miles. It has been doing this since day one and i have gone back to several dealers to have it looked into. Each time i go there they say they cannot find the issue. Most recently we took it to the dealer and the service tech there said it is normal for a car to burn 1 qt of oil every 1k, and that all cars do this. I know this is a completely crazy statement to make. I am just hoping that someone out there can shed some light on this issue and possibly have a fix.

There are no oil stains on the ground, and clean out the exhaust.

I would get rid of the darn thing tommorrow and get something from one of the other manufacturers but Dodge Vans are virtually wortless.
